- Who can form an Irish company?
Anybody can form an Irish company, however at least one director must be a resident of the European Economic Area. You must also provide a physical location (registered office address) for the company in Ireland.
- Can I form a company with just one person?
Technically, yes. A company can have one director and one shareholder (member), however a company must also nominate a Secretary and if there's only one person listed as director, then this person cannot also fulfil the role of Secretary.
- What type of company does this website set up?
This website prepares documents for the formation of a 'private company limited by shares'. We cannot set up 'designated activity companies', nor any other type (public, unlimited, etc).
- What is a company and how is it structured?
A company is a legal entity made of up directors, secretaries and shareholders (members). A director is someone responsible for the day to day running of the company. A secretary is someone who is in charge of general company housekeeping duties such as making sure returns are filed on time, notifying when addresses change etc. A shareholder is someone who owns the company through holding shares.
- How much does it cost and what do I receive?
The fee is made up in two parts: our service fee of €75 and the CRO registration fee of €100. Please visit our Pricing page for more information on fees and what's included in our package.
- Do I need to provide identification?
No identification is required - however a witness must sign the documents once you have downloaded them from our website.
- Do I need to sign anything?
Yes. The directors, secretary and shareholders must all sign the documents that our website will provide to you.
- What information do I need to supply?
Our questionnaire will ask you a range of questions. It will ask you for the name of your new company, the names and addresses of people involved (directors, secretaries, shareholders) and the official address for the company. If you find you don't have the information at hand while you're forming the company, then you can save your progress and return to it later.
- What happens if I make a mistake in the questionnaire?
This is OK. You can constantly review the information you provide us and if there are any errors, you can correct them very easily.
- How long will it take to complete the whole process?
It will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete our application. Your documentation will be generated and provided to you instantly for downloading and printing. You then post the documents to the CRO for processing (this can take 2 - 10 working days).

- What do I receive when everything is complete?
You will receive the official Incorporation documents, Constituion, Consents for Director, Secretary and Shareholder, Register of Members and opening Minutes.
- Do I need to post anything or lodge any documents?
Yes. You will need to post off the incorporation documents to the CRO to finalise the registration. Full instructions and postal information are provided in our documentation.
- Do you provide legal advice about running my company?
Unfortunately not. We are solely a company formation website and do not advise our customers about the advantages & disadvantages of the company structure. We do however have some general information in our resources section where you can learn more about companies.
- What's your refund policy?
Refunds are provided at the discretion of management. If you wish to apply for a refund you need to email us with your customer details and the reason for the request.
